There are plenty of resources on writing the perfect query letter for your perfect manuscript. But that’s just half the query battle as the perfect letter has to land in the perfect agent’s inbox. But how do you build a list of prospective agents to query? How do you figure out which ones are legitimate and can be trusted with your manuscript?

Finding not only a good agent, but the perfect agent, for you and your work is one of the most important steps in your career. But many authors and illustrators query without properly doing their research first. And given the wealth of information (both useful and not) scattered around the internet, it can seem like an impossible task.

In this webinar, we will take a deep dive with author Tara Luebbe into the fine art of researching agents, helping you narrow down the viable prospects and landing one that’s…perfect.

Ask Me Anything Sessions: SOLD OUT

Five Ask Me Anything Career Consultations are available in conjunction with this webinar, which will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Zoom sessions are twenty minutes long and cost $35. Tara is open to questions about the query process, strategy, or anything else related to querying picture books, general picture book industry questions or advice, or information on working with an agent. These sessions are picture-book focused only, as Tara does not have specific information on querying novels. If you would like to purchase a session with the webinar, please choose the ticket labeled “Member Webinar + AMA Session” when you register (for a total of $45- webinar + session). If that ticket is unavailable, it means the AMA sessions have sold out.

If you register for a session, you will receive an email at a later date to schedule your session.
