Registration will close at 6 pm CST on Monday 3/15/2021 in order to send out links for the webinar.

Webinar Description:

I love publishing funny picture books, and yet it’s super-rare that I get a humorous submission that ACTUALLY makes me laugh. We’ll take a page-by-page, line-by-line look at some successful picture books I’ve published and will dissect all the different reasons they made me spill tea on my cardigan: Pacing, page-turns, subject matter, audience, originality, hooks, and a bunch of other things that are a lot funnier than this sentence.”

Critique Information:

Ten written critiques for PICTURE BOOKS ONLY are available in conjunction with this webinar, which will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Critiques are $50. If you would like to purchase a critique with the webinar, please choose the ticket labeled “Member Webinar + Critique” when you register (for a total of $60- webinar + critique). If that ticket is unavailable, it means the critiques have sold out.

Manuscripts will be due March 26th (to give you time to apply lessons learned from the webinar) and you will receive written feedback by May 3rd. If you register for a critique, you will receive a detailed email with submission instructions.
